Condolence: Harold, Mike, and family:
Jackie was such a wonderful encouragement in my walk with the Lord. Her love for her family and devotion to Jesus was so evident and taught me so much. I cherish the time I was able to spend with her as a teenager reading God's Word and praying together. I also remember the times we would talk about the flowers that were in bloom outside of their home. I know she is now with Jesus enjoying the beauty of heaven! I will never forgot the love of Jackie and the impact she was in my walk with the Lord.
With deepest sympathy,

Brett and Abbie Long and family

Condolence: When I first met Jackie, I knew she was special. My husband, four young kids and I had moved to a little farm in the Barnard school district. The kids and I were attending church in Maryville at that time. One of the preachers told me about the Barnard Christian Church. He said they had a really good preacher and maybe I should try it out. I decided to try it and walked in with my four little ones plus two little nieces. We made it through the service and afterwards Jackie was one of the first to greet us with that warm smile, and offered to open the nursery if we agreed to come back. We also found out that she was Olivia’s pen pal for school. That was the beginning of many good times---Bible studies, stories, prayers, and laughter. My favorite story she told was of her hero, Herald. It was Christmas Eve and the weather was brutal. He had worked that day and was bringing Christmas presents home afterwards. Well, a storm was brewing and became a full blown blizzard. Herald couldn’t make it all the way home in his pickup truck, so walked miles in the blizzard to get there. Jackie said that when he walked in the door, he looked like Santa Claus, all covered in snow with a sack of gifts on his back. He saved Christmas!
As my kids got older, Jackie’s health and eyesight began to fail. Abbie, a teenager at that time, agreed to go and read with her once a week after school. Of course, Jackie had her read a chapter of the Bible. They would then discuss it and Jackie would tell stories and give testimonies of God working in her life. She encouraged Abbie in the Lord to remain pure and true to Him. Here Abbie went to bless Jackie, but was so blessed in return! She later introduced Jackie to her future husband and was also able to introduce her to some of their children.
Top on Jackie’s prayer list was always her kids and grandkids. She rarely prayed for herself, except for the Lord to draw her closer to Himself. She will be missed! What a blessing it is to have known her!
May you all be blessed---comforted by the His love and peace as you remember and live out the legacy of love and true Christianity that she leaves behind!

With Sincere Sympathy, Katey and Randy Fletchall and family
